In 1998, Montreal native Charles David Lam created a fashion label called BZEN that included simply chic casual wear with an influence of denim lifestyle for both men and women. Today, his label is a staple name in the ready-to-wear fashion industry. Initially,

Charles studied finance at Concordia University in Montreal Canada. As time progressed, he started designing Denim and his love for the art was born into BZEN. Charles distinguishes himself apart from other as an esteemed denim specialist who translate in every jean he designs. When he first started, his clothes were exclusively sold in American fashion stores like New York's Bloomingdales, LA's Fred Segal and American Rags. As time passed, he started selling some of his most popular fashions to specialty stores in Japan. He has the ability to make his designs accessible to people who admire quality clothes.

Now, his Montreal based fashion label seeks to explode onto the China scene, with an up & coming shop in Shanghai's Xintiandi and projects to open other 5 more locations within the year. The brand will be found at modestly small high-end boutiques located in various parts of china and the globe.
